Receiver/Warehouse Support

Monday – Friday 7:30am-4pm

Bristol, CT (1 shift / 1 location)

Reports to: Manufacturing Manager

Position Summary

As the Receiver, you will be expected to account for all incoming packages, receive them in the ERP System and perform incoming inspection as required by the Quality Management System. In addition, you will be storing or distributing all materials in the assigned locations within 24-hours of receiving them; and maintaining an orderly state so inventory will be complete and accurate.

Organization Structure and Interface

This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager who will oversee and give direction. Daily and close interaction with all Medical Manufacturing (Customer Satisfaction Team) associates is expected. Any challenges or concerns are to be communicated on a timely basis to those that can make a difference.

Performance Objectives

  1. Receiving: Unpack all boxes of materials and store all material neatly in the appropriate storage area, after the receiving process has been completed.
    Incoming inspection is to be performed on designated materials received, utilizing the Electronic Incoming Inspection Program or e-IIR program.
    Make all applicable ERP transactions. Complete and accurate receiving and entry into the ERP system is required.
    Deliver packages to appropriate associate/department/storage location.

  2. Inventory Management: All materials are to be received, added to inventory via the ERP system and placed into inventory within 24 hours from the time of receipt.
    Report any receiving issues or inventory discrepancies to the Vendor Manager.
    Ensure all shelves are kept in a neat and orderly manner.
    Everything has a place, and it should be labelled and in its place.
    When pulling raw material for production we should use FIFO (First in, First Out).
    Partner to support Monthly Cycle Counts for Prestige Lane Hospitality Brands and Medical.

  3. Assisting Prestige Lane Hospitality Brands (printing division) Production: Receive all paper deliveries and place on appropriate racks.
    Restock/stage raw materials for daily production.
    Empty trash as needed throughout the workday and at the end of every day

  4. Assist Medical Production/Inspection/Shipping: Restock/stage raw materials for daily production/inspection.
    As requested, pre-make shipping boxes to assist the shipping team on above average days.

  5. General Warehouse: Keep the warehouse clean and orderly see 5S below.
    Work with manufacturing manager to ensure space is used appropriately and or if there are observed improvement opportunities or challenges.

  6. Safely Operate Powered Industrial Equipment:
    a. Forklift
    b. Electric and manual pallet jack
    c. Arial Lift

  7. Teamwork/Communication:  Work closely with the Manufacturing Manager daily to discuss work focus and priorities.
    Maintain PMA (Positive Mental Attitude), be in teh "help mode." Maintain open communication with all CST (Customer Satisfaction Team) associates; this will be key in your success in this role.
    Be flexible, make yourself available and do whatever it takes to support the manufacturing team.

  8. Quality Management System: You are expected to participate and successfully complete all Quality Management System (QMS) training, in a timely manner, whether in or outside of C-Pro.
    You are responsible for understanding how your role works within the Quality Management System (QMS) to comply with ISO 13485, FDA Quality System Regulations, and all other applicable regulations.

  9. Lean: 5s: You are expected to learn about the principles of 5s and apply them to your work area; resulting in maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

Basic Requirements

Warehouse Experience 1 year preferred

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent

Time Management Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize tasks
